The mark II was launched in 1961 and was homologated by the FIA on 29.01.1963 under Appendix K No. 1178 making it eligible for classic motorsport today.
This sound example was first registered on 15th February 1963 and has been principally restored in recent years. It has received new front steel wings and repairs where necessary. It has been resprayed in traditional Old English white with a contrasting black roof. New carpets have been fitted and it now offers a sound basis for regular daily use or development as a classic rally or race car.
The tried, tested and tunable 1098 cc A series engine has proven reliable in daily use and with a kerbside weight of just 813 Kgs to move proves suprisingly nimble.
The chassis is forgiving and predictable on its' four new 145 section radial tyres.Braking has been improved with the period modification of MG Midget Disc brakes being fitted with stainless steel braided hoses.
Parts are readily available and interchangeable with MG Midget / Austin Healey Sprite etc should you wish to upgrade performance.
A new MOT will be supplied on sale which together with its' VEL Tax exempt status provides economoical and fun motoring.
This vehicle draws attention wherever it goes, everyone either having had one themselves or a relation.
