Unfortunately the time has come to part with my Hillclimb/Rally 998 Imp.
Very clean two tone blue shell, restored for an article in Practical Classics in 2001 by ImpTechnic. still very little rust evident anyware, Converted for Sprinting / Hillclimbing and could easily be converted with very little work for Rallying. Full Roll cage (inc door bars), custom Dash panel, battery in box behind seats, Perspex rear windows, Fibre bonnet, Fibre engine lid Inc (not fitted), push button start, Corbeau pro sport drivers seat, ally side mounts & 4 point TRS harness, Plumbed in & Hand held Extinguishers, Big revcounter & matching digital oil/water temp gauges. Front Mounted Radiator, electric cooling fan on thermostat, Davis craig Electric water pump, 6 Gallon Alloy fuel Tank & Electric fuel pump, Front Nissan Micra disc conversion, front Anti roll bar, front Spax Adj Coilovers, rear Spax Adj, suspension polly bushed through out, 3 sets of minilight style wheels and tyres (inc 4 yoko a032r, 4 Avon soft slicks), engine is hung from rear bulkhead, ally rear panel and lightweight cross bar. MSA Log booked, tax till Nov (free), Mot till Dec.
Fresh Dennis Allt Full Race 998, only 400 miles from Build, Spec as follows:
The Engine was totally rebuilt in 2007, using R22 Cam, Dennis’s special chambered & Ported head, Bronze guides and new race spec valves & Springs, balanced bottom end, new wills rings, all new bearings, block strengthening kit, allen key headbolt conversion, Aldon Ignitor ignition, Twin 40’s and big bore Exhaust, Rev’s cleanly to 9000rpm. not sure of the power as iv'e never had the time to put it on the rollers.
4 Speed Jack Knight Dog Gearbox, Competition drive couplings, Special Gear Linkage. Scintered Race clutch plate.
Included are lots of spares inc Bumpers /interior items & rear seats so you can return it to road trim if you wanted, (roll cage diagonal and door bars are removable)
A couple of Bad points:- The gearbox has a crack which has been welded up, but still has minor oil leak may need re-casing approx £400, (The car is still usable as the leak is only minor) there is one dent and a scrape in the O/s rear Quarter where a metal bar got knocked against the side of the car. There are a couple of other marks on the car but then its a competition car after all.
Everything I have thats imp related, Books, spares & even a Towing A Frame and light board will come with the car.
Basically everything you need to go Sprinting or Hillclimbing, You'll need a van as there's lots of stuff ! Delivery can be arranged at £1 per Mile each way.
