AUSTIN SEVEN ULSTER REPLICA (1930) SOLD
I have owned the car since August 2010, and have used for pleasure, not for competitive events. Whilst the performance is lively, the car is easy to handle.
Previously the result of a 3 year rebuild, the vehicle is in very good condition mechanically and bodywork. There is a V5C and green logbook to safeguard its identity and period registration, confirming first registration as 25 October 1930.
The following defines the build specification.
Chassis is standard, unboxed, with a rebuilt 5. 25:1 rear axle by Chris Williams (Austineers), and with new half shafts. Close-ratio 3-speed gearbox, believed genuine Ulster (stamped S). Engine rebuilt mildly tuned with large inlet valves, high lift camshaft, S. U. carburretor, extra capacity oil-pump, Ricardo alloy cylinder head, Bosch distributor with auto-advance. Springs believed genuine Ulster specification, with correct steering radius arms etc. Cable brakes all 4 wheels, with semi-Girling adjusters on front. Correct Smiths speedometer. and electric Smiths rev counter, pressure gauges for oil and fuel system, 12 volt electrics. The wheels are 19" with 350x19 Blockley tyres. Seats have pneumatic cushions, and there is a tonneau and hood frame, but no hood.
Over my 3 years of ownership the vehicle has been well maintained and serviced.
