| 1957 Citroen 2cv 1957 'Ripple Bonnet' Barn find For Sale (C45042) | | | This is a classic barn find - rescued from France in 1991 and in storage since.Discovered in Pont St. Esprit, Provence, the car was imported back because it was so original.The chassis and all the exterior is very sound, the only repair required is to the front of the floors (as is so often the case with 2cvs).
The chassis number is 385021 which dates it from 1957.Whilst there is no carte gris, it will be easy to UK register with a supporting letter from Club 2cvGB (which I will obtain).These early cars are now becoming valuable, and a number of restored cars have recently sold for astonishing amounts.
This will be an easy and very satisfying restoration as you have the unusual joy of knowing that the car has not previously been messed about with.
The only parts required will be new seat covers which are easily available.
The car can be seen in Surrey (near Gatwick).This is literally unrepeatable and cheap at £1675.
