de Tomaso Pantera GTS For Sale (1976)
I am selling my 1976 de Tomaso Pantera GTS
The car is presented in Rubino Rosso (an original de Tomaso factory colour) with black leather interior and black carpets.
Car is powered by a 5.7 litre Ford Cleveland 351 engine mated to a ZF Transaxle gearbox and has done 59000 miles.
I have spent the last 2 years over-hauling the old fella, and have done the following work on him:
BODYWORK & CHASSIS:
Bare metal strip back of chassis & underside of car, repaint and waxoyl.
New sills to the rear of doors and repaint
Precision Proformance (PPF) chassis rigidity kit (4 part kit, 2 sections for chassis rails, one front and one back, one in engine bay and one in front luggage compartment)
New stainless steel door trim
SUSPENSION
New adjustable PPF shock absorbers all round
New bushes all round
New upper suspension arm to front offside
BRAKES
New custom made KAD 6 pot calipers to front, new discs and brake lines. New hand brake cable
EXHAUST
New PPF big bore manifolds and custom made back boxes
ENGINE
The engine was subject to a 4 month rebuild only 300 miles ago by Allards Automatics in Hailsham, Sussex. Engine was stripped down, repainted silver, pistons replaced, crank shaft reground etc etc etc. New starter motor fitted. New cooling hoses and reworked thermostatic controls.
GEAR BOX
New clutch 300 miles ago, gear linkage realigned (he's now got 5 forward gears!!!!)
There is heaps of potential to make this an exceptionally quick car. I have done most of the important work on him, and I'm now looking for a nice home for the old chap.
