This is a unique one off special. It is most definitely NOT a kit car. This is the original wooden bodied special, designed specifically for this chassis. There are no others.
It has appeared in a number of publications and most recently in the Triumph Sports Six Club (TSSC) magazine.There is no other car to match it.
The car is based on a 1964 Mk1 Triumph Spitfire, with the chassis, running gear, brakes, suspension etc from that vehicle.
I have reluctantly decided to sell this lovely car, after having it for 20 years. I have three children and a wife, none of whom wish to be left behind. I feel the car is not getting the use it deserves and over the last few years the mileage annually is to, and back from, the MOT!!!. This car is in fabulous condition and previously won the Triumph Sports Six Club Concours (specials) in 1990.
I have completed extensive research on this vehicle, and have tracked down the craftsman who built it (from the Guild of Master Craftsmen). I have some intersting history for it, including the build photos.I am the second registered keeper, the craftsman being the first!
The car has a multitude of original features including: a unique completely hand crafted Yew and Ash, marine varnished body, custom made interior, additional gagues, one off mudguards, custom lights and indicators, radiator and grill. It also has a custom colour co-ordinated tonneau cover, wire wheels, a sports exhaust and braided hoses.
The car is tax exempt (Historic Vehicle) and insured as a classic vehicle.
The engine currently runs on 4 star, but I use unleaded and a fuel additive without any problems.
The car has been recently valued by the TSSC at £13,500. the valuation is valid for two years.
