After lots of concern over the miss-fire i borrowed some money (bank of mum and dad) and had the spark plugs, HT leads, rotor arm and distribution cap replaced to either fix the miss or confirm that something more serious is causing it ...
THE MISSFIRE IS FIXED!
It was a gamble but it paid off, i've had the car accelerate to the redline through 1st, 2nd and 3rd and there is no missfire. 4th and 5th seem fine as well but i'm not able to redline those (road wise).

Hi, it's sadly time to sell this stunning car as i've just finished uni and i need something a lot cheaper to run! Overall the car is in great condition in comparison with a lot of other starions you see for sale and also considering its age. For bad points it's got a couple of tiny rust spots in the bottom corner of the door and on the window sills and there's a slight tennis ball size dent in the middle of the passenger door. Inside is 'as new' except for the usual 'palm sized' tear in the drivers seat. There's a few new replacement parts under the bonnet such as battery, clutch slave cylnder, new ported exhaust manifold, induction kit, dump valve etc.
Overall it's in pretty great condition with a couple things needed to make it perfect. I've been driving the car everyday for the last year and it's been great, with no trouble. Its just hit 100,300 miles. It has tax and MOT until November 08 and good tyres all round.
