| 1981 Porsche 924 TURBO with Cherished Number Plate For Sale (C50347) | | | This rare and collectable model, the 924 TURBO, has covered only 85,000 miles. It comes with history in the original Porsche Wallet, including the original Drivers Manual and Service record. The service record is completed up to 70,000 miles with receipts covering services since then.
Its been well serviced and has also had the timing belt and a water pump replaced last year along with the fan belts and has also recently had new brake pads all round.
There’s a collection of receipts for work carried out over the years, so you can see this car has been looked after.
The MOT expired only last month. I’ll put a new 12 month MOT on the car for a new owner, as I know this car will go through without any problems.
The paintwork and body is in great condition, having had a re-spray a couple of years ago, at a cost of £1700 and also the fact that these 924s had galvanized body panels. At the same time the original turbo alloy wheels were also refurbed, costing another £300.
The 924 TURBO is a rare car in any colour, but this car was originally supplied (and had a high quality re-paint) in the very rare Porsche Metallic SATURN. It still has the Porsche paint code sticker in place, along with other factory stickers.
It’s in very original condition, having not been modified at all from factory spec – it is a very nice original, well kept example.
The interior is in good condition although there is a split on the driver’s seat. The seats are again original to this vehicle and are half black leather, half black and white checks.
The dash is not cracked - which is very rare to find on any 924.
2.0L TURBO Engine which gives good economy when driven gently but when you want to go all 177BHP kicks in and you’re off in a flash.
The engine starts no problem, runs very well and pulls very strong indeed.
