| 1983 VW mark 1 golf g.t.i cabriolet For Sale (C50363) | | | This car has been our pride and joy since october 2005 when we became only her third owner from new.she has covered just 91500 miles which is well documented in all the mot and service history including the original purchase invoice.supplied by normands of ha mmersmith,the car led an extremely pampered and low mileage existence in park lane in its early years.since being owned by us she has had new gear linkages,new fuel pump and filler hose,cambelt,alternator,battery,exhaust ,water pump,fuel injector lines and plugs.consequently she sounds gorgeous and goes like a rocket!my only concession to the modern era is a set{incl spare}of 16"retro "oz" alloys and tyres so she holds the road superbly.to top her off is a new navy blue mohair hood{£800 and no. Plastic!!}this car will return 40+ mpg on a run and can be insured cheaply as a classic.she does not have power steering.the interior is totally original in a blue and white combo ,the front centre seat panels could do with renewing but all the white vinyl is excellent.the car has never been wet inside so all carpeting is superb,the original white tonneau cover is complete with v.w badge and the original sblaupunkt radio with door speakers works well.the exterio. Paintwork has a lovely shine with no filling or spraying.there are a couple of tiny rust spots and a chip on the front bumper which have to be expected after 25 years!this is a wonderful example of a classic,useable car,taxed and motd until sept 08{it flew through the last one}.priced at £2875 o.v.n.o.
