| Formula 2 Racing car For Sale (1967) edit C50482 | | | Significant opportunity for the serious collector/ racer.
Jochen Rindt's 1967 Formula 2 championship winner for graded drivers.
Rindt drove it to 9 wins, 4 second places and a 6th & 1 DNF to win the series comfortably.
A superb race car and front runner in any company pre wings and slicks.
This is the car that 1967 World F1 Champion, Denny Hulme brought to Australia and New Zealand to run in the 1968 Tasman Championship. The car was involved in a bad accident at Pukekohe during the New Zealand Grand Prix. The damaged car passed through a number of hands, all known, until it was subsequently restored by George Goodare and Garry Simkin in 1983 to it's original specifications. this immaculate car was raced by George Goodare with success in many historic events in Australia. With an unblemished provenance and Historic Log Book and CAMS Certificate of Description the car is now for sale due to George's retirement from racing some time ago.
The car comes with a fitted light weight trailer and a host of valuable spare parts including two complete bodies. It is in excellent order and for sale with fresh FVA by Peter Molloy including a new crankshaft. The FT200 Hewland checked by Garry Simkin, both men leaders in their field here in Australia. I'm happy to arrange shipping to any country by sea or air.
If sold before, it has an automatic entry to the Tasman Revival meeting here at Eastern Creek Raceway Sydney, Australia in November 2008.
Copies of it's history and relevent paper work can be posted on serious application.
