Two CB400/4's with tons of parts For Sale (1977)
For sale are two Honda CB400/4. One basically complete, non-runner and the second is about 80% complete. I bought them seperately and tons of parts with a plan to use parts from both bikes to make one completely restored bike for when I pass my test, saying that there are almost enough parts to build two complete bikes. I've now resigned myself to the fact that I can't afford to keep them and I'm just going to stick with my 125 for now.
What's included in the sale:
BIKES
Basically Complete Honda CB400/4, missing battery (new battery supplied) and one of the the ignition coil/HT leads (a replacement is included).
80% Complete Honda CB400/4 - includes reconditioned engine (done by previous owner), good condition downpipes, fuel tank (has had paint stripped ready for painting), custom seat (made by previous owner) amongst other parts.
PARTS - NEW
New spark plugs
New spark plug covers
New air filter
New oil filter
Some new gaskets
New brake/clutch lever
New battery
Some new Honda parts - I'm not sure what they actually are but they're basically chrome half cylinders
PARTS - USED
Spare Fuel Tank
Exhaust
Downpipes - are holed but could be fixed with some welding, there is one good set of chrome downpipes included with one of the bikes however
Rear Shock Absorbers
Set of four Carburettors
Wiring Loom
Various fittings - ie battery/fuse holder, headlight fitting
Some lights - ie indicators, tail light
Set of mirrors
Two spare sets of forks
Speedo and Rev counter and fitting for them
Tons of various engine and gearbox parts
Haynes Manual
Various footrests, including custom pillion footrests made by previous owner, look very well made
Chain guard
--Spare engine for parts-- and also an extra crank and an extra cylinder block
And tons of other parts.
The engine in the 80% complete bike was sold to me as reconditioned so I've no reason to think it wouldn't run. The complete bike I don't really know much about, it might work with a bit of work, when I attached my other bike battery to it and turned the key the electonics all seemed to work however the spark plugs weren't connected so I haven't tried to start the engine.
I have got the keys and the V5C for the complete bike, I also have another V5C for the 80% complete bike's frame but not for the reconditioned engine.
