Jensen Interceptor III J series For Sale (1973)
This is an excellent condition Interceptor which had a considerable restoration in 1999 and significant amount of work done recently to maintain its high standard. It retains a beautiful amount of originality and unusually has an excellent original leather interior. Drop me a note if you need any more details, any inspection welcome
1999 RESTORATION – Full photo detail showing original condition, restoring the bodywork – new valance and sills, preparation and respray in metallic green (originally it was silver)
2007/2008 WORK- full interior deep clean and feed, new foam in drivers seat, new headrests, new front wilton carpets, new uprated alternator, uprated bosche cooling fans and relay, seals on diff inlet seal and backplate and oil change, seals on autobox and fluid change, rocker covers refurb with new gaskets, copper replacement gasket on driver header, new voltage regulator, new coil and resited away from engine, new ign leads, ballast resister and spark plugs, polished “coupe” front grill and polished side vents, new PCV valves, new air filter and refurbed air filter cover, new washer bottle, alloys polished, various cooling hoses and rubbers replaced, new engine and gearbox rubber mounts, new brake pads, wing mirrors fitted, new weather strip fitted on doors, new fuel filler hose, new interior lights, new halogen headlights, new “blue” bonnet badges and wheel trim badges, 4 x high quality speakers. Also spent time sorting out a number of other small niggles…….its not an exhaustive list and there is other work has been done….
OTHER NOTES – high speed starter motor, stainless exhaust, braided autobox cooling lines, Air Conditioning system complete and working. Rear seat belts fitted.
FAULTS – rev counter sometimes dies and I have by-passed the Ranco heater valve as was sticking and getting no heat- not so important now in the middle of summer.
HISTORY – Owner history (even had one owner twice) and factory production notes and history available. It was found as part of a private collection of cars and was restored in 1999. After restoration it was used for a time (very little) as the Jensen Club loan, it has done a minimal mileage per annum as the MOT’s slips show, 1982 was 52,000 miles for instance.
