| Ferrari 308 gt4 - Excellent Condition For Sale (1977) edit C53666 | | | Ferrari 308 GT4 1977, R Reg. 2 door, manual 5 speed. 2.9 litre V8 Petrol. 60,600 miles. Giallo Fly yellow. Stainless steel exhaust. Alloy wheels. Brand new MOT (Aug 2009).
All old MOT’s present documenting mileage plus extensive owners record of all servicing and work carried out plus all receipts.
The car has only ever been used during the spring / summer months and has been garaged and well cared for all it’s life. I purchased this car three years ago from the previous owner who had owned and lovingly cared for the vehicle since 1983. Since then I have carried out extensive and detailed servicing on the car including; new cam-belts, new cam pulleys, valve gaps set, rebuilt alternator, distributor overhaul, new points and suppressors, new platinum tipped plugs, new HT leads, new air filter, all new radiator hoses, new radiator fan switch, new expansion tank, flushed and replaced coolant, regular gearbox and engine oil changes, new tyres.
In addition I have carried out extensive detailing on the engine bay including braided hoses and, colour coded wiring and stove enamelled engine covers and air-box. As a result I confidently offer this car for sale in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically.
The car has just been tuned and had the carbs balanced so is running perfectly. The bodywork is in excellent condition, the car having been subject to a bar metal 2-pack respray in the 90's. There is some very superficial rust just on on the edge of the rear valance, I have had this inspected by a reputable local bodywork specialist who has told me that it is very minor. The car is booked in with him to repair this at the end of the summer (he is booked up until then), he will fabricate a replacement section for the panel, weld in place and respray to match. As the area in question is so small and all below the rear bumper the repair will not be visible and not an expensive job.
I strongly advise you to view the car, dont be put off by my honesty about this aspect of the condition, the car really is as good as it looks in the pictures. If you are keen to purchase the car before the work is carried out I am happy to negotiate on the price.
