DeSoto Fireflight Sportsman 2dr Hardtop For Sale (1955)
V8 291ci Hemi engine. Automatic transmission.
The restoration of this car was completed in 2005.There is a record of the work involved, which included a full strip down and restoration of all the chassis components and braking system.
The engine was dismantled, machined and rebuilt using new parts.
The bodywork has had a bare metal respray in the original matching 2-tone colours. During the re-assembly new rubbers and seals were used.
The interior is trimmed in original pattern cloth and leather to seating and cloth/vinyl door trims.
The car is spectacular to see and with the engine fitted to this model very rewarding to drive.
