| CX 2400 Prestige. 27,000 miles from new. For Sale (1977) edit C55921 | | | Whilst words like "time-warp", "immaculate", "unrepeatable","unique" , etc are often mis-used when it comes to describing cars, I defy anyone to question the use of such adjectives when describing this particular vehicle!
To be able to offer such a rare and unusual car in the first place can only be termed a privilige but to be able to offer surely the only surviving low mileage, close to perfect example remaining can be nothing short of a once in a lifetime event.
This example of the very rare original early "low roofline" carburettor examples of the Flagship Prestige that were in production for approx. one year only was ordered in the popular period colour of Beige Opale and supplied as a tax-free diplomatic sale (the original red-surround number plates are in the boot)by Normans of Westminster and used very , very sparingly. In fact, the 24,000 service (carried out by Mayfair Autos of Balham Grove , London) wasn't required until the car was 21 years old!
CONDITION:
The Interior is near perfect! The seats, carpets, door panels, headlining, fascia etc show no discernible signs of wear at all. The ashtrays have never been used and the interior even smells new!
BODY/PAINTWORK:
As near perfection as is at all possible with a 31 year old car. There really is NO CORROSION ISSUES. I dare say the eagle-eyed could discern the odd blemish, stonechip or faint spidering but this would be being ultra-critical.
The sills and underside are totally rot-free.
The vulnerable bonnet, door bottoms and bootlid are perfect
