It is a February 1978 registered car and has now covered 51,564 miles. Originally supplied new by Appleyard Rippon to the Upsall Timber Co and has its 'Passport to Service' book stamped by Appleyard Rippon for the first four services, all carried out in the first year and up to 12,856 miles. Then it must have moved down to the South as it records services carried out in Thornton Heath and Haslemere. The last two services stamped in the book are at Horncastle and Reg Vardys and these take the mileage up to 37,000. It has been in the family of the last (And third) owner since 1982 and all the restoration work took place at Heritage Restorations in Tee side from 2004 until 2005 and their bills for the works they carried out amount to £39,136!!. Basically the car had been laid up for a couple of extended periods, '87 to '96 and between '96 and 2005 it covered only 1,000 miles until it was left for restoration. There are lots of old bills, invoices and MOT certificates with it along with all the recent bills from Heritage Restorations and there is a full photographic record of the work that was carried out.
You will be hard pressed to find a better example. drives as you would expect, the one for the discerning collector
