Carefully hand-crafted in the coachbuilder's tradition, the Classic AUBURN Speedster Tribute is an expression of automotive individuality without peer. Originally designed by Gordon Buehrig, famous for his work on the AUBURN Automobile Company's Cords and Duesenbergs, the Speedster was as celebrated as it was fast. Renowned driver Ab Jenkins test drove the first Speedster produced at speeds over 100 miles per hour...in 1935!
While only 500 Speedsters were built between 1935 and 1936, AUBURN Boattail Speedster Tributes have been built for over 25 years. With the AUBURN Automobile Company's original Boattail Speedster design specifications and molds in hand, Speedster Motorcars blends yesterday's classic design with today's state-of-the-art technology including improved handling, ride, reliability and standard amenities.
The chassis, exclusive to Speedster Motorcars, blends the steering precision and handling of the world's finest sports cars with the responsive ride rivaling today's most expensive luxury vehicles. Every component, from the chrome windshield to the power windows, is carefully hand-fitted by a craftsman's experienced touch. The hand laid fiberglass construction with tubular cross member frame and Vortec 5.3L V-8 engine make for an excellent ride. The luxurious interior seats are covered with hand-selected leather hides, perfectly matched for shade and grain then painstakingly sewn with meticulous attention to detail.
Condition: Mint, like new, barely driven with low mileage and kept in a professional warehouse/garage. Professionally built by Speedster Motors in Clearwater, FL in 2004. This car was over $100k built new.
