| Matt Black bug, 1600tp, tax+mot, daily driver SOLD (1973) C56603 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | Here we have my beloved 1973 bug. Unfortunatly its gotto go due to another project. This thing is my daily driver, is taxed, has a long MOT, starts drives and stops, and has no issues to speak of. Very lively, but also not bad on fuel since the engine is nearly new and well looked after.
Engine is a very new, few thousend miles at most, German recon 1600cc twinport, just serviced, fitted with new carb, fanbelt, battery, new gearbox oil and driveshaft gators, new J tube exhaust system (but heaters were working and are complete should you wish to put heat exchangers back on), new bulbs and relays, some new wiring/plumbing where needed, tacho and voltage gauge. New brakes all around.
car has been totally derusted, alot of work gone into schassis channels and floor, then red oxided and sprayed matt black. Its safe to say that there is no rust anywhere!!!
Just little interior related touchups to do...its a little scruffy inside. I have no taste in interior.
New 6v wings all around, us spec headlamps, tombstones on the back.
I need this gone now because of another project. Its a great car, and looks great, but i dont have room for another :(. May possibly be tempted to swap for some cabrio/convertible classic of some sort, but appart from that its gotto go!
Thers alot more stuff, ring/email for detiels, or for further pics. Test drives welcomed, and bring a screwdriver and poke to your hearts content if you wish, there is no hidden rust anywhere!
