It exceeds the measured VMax achieved by the RST V8 and significantly exceeds anything achieved by an R500 or any Duratec engined car. In fact its more acclerative than a McLaren F1 over a standing 1/4 mile.

With over 300bhp, a GPS verified top speed of 159mph and a standing quarter mile time of less than 11 seconds, this road legal car is being sold to make way for a new project.
The car is a one owner car owned by me from new in 1993, and has been loved cherished and maintained regardless of cost.
Not much of the 1993 car remains except the centre section of the chassis, the brake pedal, diff casing and lower steering column. Everything else is new and improved over standard Caterham parts. It is in the physical condition of a 1 year old car.
The car will be provided with a very comprehensive history, detail and spec info and file of bills etc some 5" thick! A selection of spares are to be included as well as several sets of tyres including circuit slicks, wets and drag slicks.
The car is UK registered, emmissions exempt for UK MOT, does not need a catalytic converter and as tractable on the road as it is lapping everything on most track days (competent driver required) . Its insured on an agreed value basis at just a little over £300 per annum.
The car has more recently undergone a complete nut and bolt rebuild of every component and a complete strip, extensive strengthening and refurb and of the chassis as well as the 'Zip' paint scheme which was doen in 2006.

And the price? Well its cost well over £100k to build, so you will not secure it for R300 money. If however you are considering a new R500 with all the options, you are in the ball park. Whats more this car has been tested, strengthened and the engines inertia dramatically reduced to cope with the stresses induced by, and provide the shift velocity expected from a sequential gearbox.
I personally doubt the new R500 is as well prepared in this respect. Price includes the much copied registration number, K2RUM valued at £3500.
