| T2 Volkswagen Splitscreen pickup SOLD (1959) C56761 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | 1959 californian import,has just been mot'd and u.k. Registered.this vehicle has been in the country since 2001 and was painted appprox 6 yrs ago,there has been no welding and the vehicle is stock apart from a change of engine to 1600 cc(single carb)the vehicle has had a custom build hard top to cover the bed,this is very unusual and has been commented on by several people.in my opinion the paint is not perfect as it was done in stages and the side panels although rot free could still do with more work,this is however a rare vehicle,i have not seen many of these 1959 pickups and is only going to increase in value.i would be happy to answer any sensible questions to the best of my ability.
