| Hudson Hornet Club Coupe SOLD (1953) C57241 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | Here we have a blue and cream 1953 Hudson Hornet Club Coupe which bodies a 308 cubic inch, six cylinder engine and with the "Twin H" dual carburetor producing 170 HP. It is believed to be the only 1953 Hornet 2 door coupe within the UK.
The Hornet was the top of the line Hudson in 1953 so you would appreciate the size. The wheel base of the Hornet is 124 inches with a 208.5 inch overall length.
The Hudson was imported from California sometime in 1994 and has had 2 previous owners since then. I have been one very happy Hudson owner since she's been in my possession and very reluctant to sell but due to ill health, I have to let her go.
The hydromatic gearbox has recently been rebuilt with original parts from the states and now changes gear as smooth as ever.
Brand new head and gasket has recently been changed
The electrics have been converted from 6 to 12 volts so starter motor and all bulbs and fuses have been changed as required.
Both front and rear bumpers have been re chromed and I have added chrome light visors onto the main headlights that also have new lenses.
A sun visor to match the paint work of the roof has also been fitted which really sets off the beauty of the Hudson. Addition to this, a chrome tail pipe has been added.

With a full 12 months on the MOT, she is now ready for cruising...
