| Our Grandmothers DSpecial For Sale (1972) edit C57539 | | | Bought new by my wife's (french)grandparents in Sens, Burgundy, this car was given to me as Christmaspresent in 1995.
Origional sales receipt and full service history since were included as well as the spare keys! Made in september 1972, so 1973 model with turning headlights and heated rearwindow.Also fitted with original Continental Edison radio.Chassis number FD number 04FD1123 and strongest engine,108 SAE bhp,DY 0662031719! Then with 76.180 KM on the clock,easy to check with service history! I converted her to LPG (80 liter tank fits neatly in boot, but she also drives very well on petrol) and resprayed her in origional colours,(AC 084 body and AC088, roof). With bigger radiator, she towed our 1969 caravan to Scotland twice and many times to France, never any problem. Now 157.830 KM. Fitted with new altenator, modified starter engine, very good tyres etc. New exaust(back end), was fitted last year, did only a few hundred km since. Passed Mot without any fault, next MOT 6-2010.
Only slight problem now: drivers seat was torn to bits by my notty puppy dog recently, will provide a new cover, (brown skai). As we have bought a house in small village in France without a big enough garage, I will sell her only to true DS lover. No hurry, no time wasters!
