| MGB GT Chrome bumper & fast road modified For Sale (1975) edit C58432 | | | http://www.everydayclassics.co.uk | | A car for the enthusiast, modified for fast road use or track-days, but still perfectly well behaved for everyday road use. It started life as a Jubilee edition car, with the distinctive but now rather dated green and gold paint scheme,and has been the subject of an ongoing rolling restoration and upgrade. It has a Peter Burgess 'Econotune' head, giving a 30% power upgrade (on Unleaded fuel)and K&N filters. It has had a chrome bumper conversion, and been lowered at the same time to improve the handling. The suspension and brakes have been upgraded, and it has a set of alloy wheels (including spare) and slightly wider than standard tyres. It is now a very solid car which runs superbly, is a delight to drive, and will cruise happily at the legal speed limit all day. The full-length Britax sunroof is the ideal compromise for year round use. Open in seconds on sunny days, but practical for winter weather. Black velour covered seats are much more comfortable on bare skin than leather or vinyl on hot days, and it has a very effective heater. Although completely sound and rust free this car has a poor paint job in British Racing Green. At some point the doors will need replacing or re-skinning, and a quick re-spray. It is offered for sale as it stands, (with a full MOT) or we can carry out further restoration work to whatever level the purchaser requires.
