This car was was purchased in early 80s and professionally stored for 25yrs. (off it's wheels, all fluids regularly topped up, engine turned over etc.) Bought for export to Canada... LHD, with factory air conditioning (blows ice cold!), factory tuned for unleaded fuel (Canada had unleaded fuel from the 70s).
The owner drove to Glasgow with a view to exporting to his homeland of Canada, however met and married a local girl. The car was put into storage as he expected her to pack up and move over the pond with him. One year, turned to two, turned to 25years... they never left!! The car has been in storage until it was professionally recomissioned by his local garage (a friend of mine) who bought it from the original owner. A hip-operation later... he was no longer able to get in and out... with the result being a life-long ambition of owning a TR7.
It is (as far as I'm concerned) the best example in existence... find another as original one with low, guranteed mileage!! The engine oil is transparent on the dipstick there is literally no wear on the engine. The underside has been waxoyled undersealed to protect from modern life!
Inca Yellow with tasteful immaculate cord interior (note the steering wheel centre is back where it should be!). Immaculate original Triumph wheel trims. All rubbers/seals and BL factory stickers still in place as she left the factory.
Everything works... surely one for the connoisseur/collector...? An appreciating asset? They're not making any more!!
Why am I selling...? House move and loss of storage. Very keen this goes to an enthusiast. My understanding is that it is the lowest mileage example in existence.
