| Triumph Mayflower For Sale (1953) edit C58967 | | | If you want a classic car that turns heads but you also want one as your daily driver then look no further, this little beauty is taxed and tested for 12 months and is ready to drive her 1247 side valve engine purrs like a kitten and her 3 speed column change gearbox is as smooth as the day she left the factory 55yrs ago the clutch works just as it should and the brakes are spot on. To cope with modern day traffic indicators have been fitted but dont worry the origional trafficators pop out and light up just as they were intended to. At some point in her life she has been resrayed to a very high standard although there is now some slight bubbling to the bottom of the doors and wing tops but she is solid and flew through the MOT with the tester commenting on how solid the underside is without any evidence of any previous welding. The interior is so quaint and although it shows its age with some fraying on the corduroy seat backs and an odd drivers door card, the leather has no tears or rips.
She sits well on a good set of cross plys and her chrome work gleams.
The car still has her original registration number HDN 691 and is transferable, but I have not got the heart to strip her of it so it goes with her even though it is worth a few quid.
