| 1953 Chevrolet 210 'Townsman' Station Wagon For Sale edit C59000 | | | 1953 Chevrolet 210 'Townsman' Station Wagon. Surf Green with White/Surf Green two tone interior. A matching numbers, 3 owner, completely restored California rust free 'Black Plate' station wagon. For 1953 model year the 210 Townsman Station Wagon (otherwise affectionately referred to as the Tin Woody) was the most expensive, limited production 'top of the line' Station Wagon that Chevrolet manufactured.
This beautiful example has the original 235 'Blue Flame' straight six engine with the very rare 'Powerglide' automatic transmission option. Everything that needed doing has been done; bodywork, engine and transmission, new starter with all electrical components and carburetor being completely re built. All barkes, steering components and bushings replaced along with a brand new exhaust system. The fuel tank has been flushed and pressure tested, new sending unit and fuel gauge rebuilt, in fact all the gauges work apart from the clock. Underside of the Station Wagon is absolutely lovely, almost like new!! Its taken over 2 years to restore this very rare 'Tin Woody', at a cost of over 25,000k, she’s not a Pebble Beach winner but a more beautiful driver would be impossible to find anywhere. If required I'd be delighted to assist with worldwide shipment at a competitive price. Contact Jason +310-560-8778.
