| Ford Pickup Hotrod SOLD (1940) C59375 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | '40 Ford Pickup on a solid original chassis with 4” dropped I beam with GM metric disc brake conversion, split stock wish bones on a TCI split wish bone & transmission mount kit, TCI front sway bar kit, stock cross steer steering box, commercial column, TCI under floor dual disc brake master cylinder and Wilwood proportioning valve.
Engine is a rebuilt 305 SBC with about 5k miles on it, Edelbrock performer intake and cam, Edelbrock carb, block hugger headers, Holley mechanical fuel pump, ali water pump, petronix ignitor II ignition and chrome flamethrower coil, cal custom valve covers. Transmission is a stock TH350, shifter is a transmission mounted Lokar 8 Ball shifter and handbrake assembly. Rear end is a highway friendly 3.15:1 Disc braked Volvo rear on parallel leaf springs.
Interior has a custom bench, SW Wings gauge set, Socal Deco Switch set with Lokar bits mention, heater and demister.
Body has just been gone over, new steel repop tailgate fitted, new glass rear fenders, new glass running boards (framed out so you can stand on them no worries), cab is solid with new floors and cab corners, new glass and rubbers. New paint which is a custom mix of red oxide and black cellulose to get the American brown primer look, body is totally sealed under the top coat.
