| SERIES 1 LANDROVER FOR RESTORATION For Sale (1955) edit C59580 | | | I am reluctantly selling this lovely barn find that I don't have time to renovate. It has been barn stored for over 20 years and has only had two owners from new with 80,000 miles on the clock. The panels are lovely and straight and it is al completely unmolested and original.
At present it is sitting with its tub off....I stripped off the back end to work on the chassis. All parts are present, so it will save the new owner a few days work.
The chassis is repairable as is the bulkhead but the are in poor condition, and ideally it wants new ones. The engine has seized with standing.
The rest of the mechanicals will need overhauling....the diff pans are rusted through, and the springs expanded.
I had intended to repair the chassis, and have, by separate negotiation got the replacement rear cross member and outriggers, which I will part with for what they cost me.You will need a trailer!! ( I could deliver if not too far away at cost)
