| Porsche 914 1.8 For Sale (1974) edit C60204 | | | To fund another Porsche, I'm sadly going to have to sell my 74', 914. I've had the car for 10 months and It's a very reluctant sale as I hav'nt had one single problem in a few thousand miles. It was imported in the early 90's from the US. I have all the MOT's and bills since then. It's had a recond ,original 1.8 engine which is running beautifully on it's original fuel injection. It's smooth and pulls strongly with only the faintest wiff of smoke on a cold start. Starts first time, every time. Most of the work was carried out by RSK who were specialists in 914's and it shows in the way this car runs and drives. Stop's ,go's and handles! The gear change is good for a 914 as is the trim, with only a small dash crack.
Bad bit's. Well mechanically; none. Body work is straight with no major rust. I think it was sprayed in the mid 90's and it could do with a good respray to make it A1. Some micro blistering around the head lights and a buble under the vinyl on the side panels. Nothing to worry about and not noticable from any distance. The car is about to have two new outer sills in polished stainless steel. These will never rust and will look great on a Black car. Tyres are all good, and now I've described it, I wish I had the room and cash to keep it!
MOT is till early Nov, but it should sail through. Tax is up this month but I will probabley put 6 months on it. Only got one photo up, but will have more by the weekend. One other thing is , I took the car on a DDK meet at Cosford so it has been seen by Tom and a few other guy's.
Price. £4500 ono.
I'm not desperate to sell this car and I'm not open to crazy offers as this is a very reliable sound car. Best call or email me for ease! Oh and the car is in the Midlands and garaged.
