1970 Stalled project needs new owner SOLD

1970 split bumper 1275, square top rear wheel arch. Body fully dismantled and in dry storage since 1981.

Car used daily before re-build commenced and is fully complete with many spares and unfitted new parts. Hood and tonneau still in original blue cotton bags.

Total mileage 89k with only 500 miles between engine rebuild (block re-bored, new pistons & rings fitted, crank re-grind and new shells, new valves and guides) and commencement of body restoration in Aug ’81 (new sills fitted and partial respray in red from original blue).

Vehicle unused and in storage since body restoration commenced. Engine easily turns over by hand via crank pulley as cylinders frequently lubed during storage.

Only 3 owners from new and lots of genuine history including blue V5, several MOTs, Fuel Ration Book from 1973 and receipts for new sills, engine rebuild and every penny spent exclusively at Main dealers until Feb 77.

Body and panels largely in primer so widespread surface pitting has accumulated in storage and upper surfaces of shell, engine bay and panels will probably need blasting. Note is surface rust only, no welding required.

In view of history, ideal vehicle for restoring to concourse condition so sensible offers only, please.
Australian-based owner currently in UK for a few weeks so car easily viewed at storage location on Wilts/ Glos border near Cirencester.
