Bizzarrini - 5300 For Sale (1968) edit C60768 | | | http://www.vdvgrant.be/sale.php | | After finishing his studies in 1953 as a mechanical engineer in Pisa, Giotto Bizzarrini designed and developed for Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Iso-Rivolta. Then, in 1965, he decided to build the Strada 5300 GT under his own name. Basically similar to its predecessor, the Iso Grifo, this competition car was then renamed Bizzarini 5300 GT America in 1965 when it was launched for sale in the USA. Whereas the Iso Grifo had been fitted out as a luxurious touring car, the Bizzarrini was built for competition. Fiberglass outer panels were bonded to the tubular space frame, and it had an independent rear suspension. This 1968 car is red with a black interior. It has a 5.3 liter Chevrolet-Corvette engine. It's with great pleasure that we propose to you an example of this fabulous 5300 series, we are talking about a car capable of enormous potential in major historic competitions. The presented car has a racing history and is in good general condition.
