| Vauxhall Chevette L black SOLD (1983) C60983 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | This is my 1983 Vauxhall Chevette shuvit. It has a 1.3 engine that has no problems keeping up with modern traffic. The mileage on the car is only 40k, which i believe to be completly genuine with the condition of the engine bay and the underside of the car. The chassis is completly solid, i cannot see any rust problems underneath the car.
It is taxed and moted until the end of october and i cant see any problems with it going through the next mot
The car has been really reliable for me, and has recently completed a 3000 mile trip around europe with absolutly no problems.
Its a really fun car to drive, with rear wheel drive and a really pokey engine.
The tyres are all good with almost new goodyears on the front.
The bodywork on the car does need a little tlc, although there is nothing unbearable. There are a couple of rust patches and may ideally need a new front wing as it is dented. i would ideally give the car a respray if i was keeping it. The car is still completly useable, and the problems are not very big.
This is an amazing little reliable classic, that really is so much fun to drive. If i didnt already own so many cars then I would definately be keeping this one
