This fantastic car has been a trusty everyday classic but regrettably up for sale due to moving into my first house and funding a V8 project. Has been used most days whilst in my ownership and is a well known car in the TR Drivers Club and TR Register being regularly seen at shows and adventures to Le Mans.
The car has the Grinnall style all steel wide body. Flared arches, oversize sills, Rover SD1 rear lights and bespoke tail panelling. The panels have all been de-seamed and the car features colour coded bumpers in Nissan's Purple Pearl. The front also features a front chin spoiler. The interior has bespoke vinyl trim on areas such as door cards, steering cowl and dash panels and interestingly features orange dash lights (TR7s are all green as standard). It is very rare to find a Grinnall bodied car that retains the 2 litre rather than the V8. The car is known to the Grinnall register http://www.grinnall-register.fotopic.net and I would very much like the car to go to someone who will continue to keep it involved in the scene. Thousands spent on upgrades to make this car an exhilarating and fun car to drive in modern traffic and I have enjoyed nearly 40,000 fun miles with her. Clock now reads 133,00 miles,

New clutch last summer when engine was fitted.
Although she is structurally sound, she has had some welding in the past as most TR7's have. But all floors, trailing arm mounts, sills and arches are solid as well as sub frame and front turrets. She's just had a new distributor cap, gold sport coil, new HT leads and plugs. I have regularly rust proofed and waxoyled her but there are bubbles here and there and some scratches and scrapes. Some cracks to the fibreglass front spoiler.
The sills are solid but for some cosmetics. Grinnall sills have to be skill fully fabricated from scratch but if this car reaches the asking price I will include a pair made for this car for a rainy day in the sale.
She suffers a little from some steering wobble between 50 and 60 mph, an extremely common issue with these cars as they are sensitive to wheel balance. A new steering rack may be beneficial in curing this sometime in the future.
I have a huge folder of old MOT's and receipts. She will soon come with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax so you can drive away on the day. Its heart wrenching to see her go, but I won't have space at the new house and I want to finish the V8 and maybe get something more modern as an everyday car.
