Dodge coronet wagon 318ci v8 auto For Sale (1970)
1970 Dodge Coronet Wagon , imported from Maine in 2001.
6-passenger wagon with factory Air, and factory front disc brakes. 318ci (5.2 Litre) small block V8 , 904 Auto transmission, 8.75 rear end.
Sold new by Stilwell Dodge of Oyster Bay , Long Island, to Peter S Johnson, Oct 10 1969 . I have the original Buyer's Order, and Sales invoice. The car was kept by Mr Johnson for the next 23 years until he passed away in 1993 . During that time he moved with the car in 1975 to New Brunswick, Canada and the car stayed in New Brunswick until 2000.
Paperwork : Car comes with Buyers Order , Sales invoice, Broadcast sheets, various maintenance bills and insurance docs and correspondence etc from 70s/80s/90s , UK MOTs and tax discs, fender tag & broadcast sheet Decodes by Tony Oksien.
Brakes- new master cylinder, hard lines , flexibles, rebuilt calipers, disc pads.
Suspension: Re-tempered rear leaves , new rear bushes. Heavy duty front torsion bars, Edelbrock front shocks, all new front bushes.
Drivetrain: Complete engine rebuild to stock. Edelbrock carb and Performer Manifold. Electronic ignition. Hardened valve seats. Complete transmission rebuild . New prop from Mancini Racing. Recored Rad.
Interior: new black carpet, recovered front bench seat, tiny tiny split on one seam. Excellent condition . All wagon parts present. No butchering of door cards for spekers etc.all cards are mint.
Electrical - Even the radio and interior lights works. Fuel gauge in dash is inoperative so an aftermarket gauge fitted underneath the dash, very neat and works perfect. JVC CD/Tuner concealed in glovebox, no butchering! Alpine 6x9's under front seat in boxes, no speakers in doors.
Aircon compressor, hoses, etc. removed when rebuilding the engine. It is in a separate box and comes with the car, as do the original carb , air cleaner, inlet manifold, distributor etc . Also have all original 15" steel wheels with nearly new tyres, original hubcaps in excellent condition, all side trim, tailgate trim and scripts, all in good condition.
New 17" Torque Thrust style polished Alloy wheels with New Federal tyres, 225/45R17 fronts and 245/45R17 rears with locking nuts.
Paint is excellent but there are some minor imperfections on close examination. There is some filler in the tailgate and tiny amount of bubbling in corners. Door shuts still need painting, colour is a standard "Off the shelf" job that you can get in rattle cans so an easy DIY job for the winter.
One problem it has at the moment is a leaky power steering box, but it does come with a replacement in perfect condition. Unfortunately I do not have the time to fit it at the moment.
