For sale is my 1969 MGB roadster finished in black with full chrome, wire wheels and overdrive gearbox. It currently has 36,000 miles on the clock, and has mainly been used as a fair weather weekend car by myself.
The car has just come back from the MGB Owner's Club workshop where she was treated to £1,500 of work including - new roof, new batteries, near rear leaf springs, replaced bushes, new front shock absorbers, new horn, new exhaust seals and a full service. Mechanically the car needs no work doing to it at all. She would benefit from some cosmetic TLC to bring her up to A1 condition (wheel re-furb, interior re-furb, some small areas of surface rust), but this is a very useable car in current condition. The vehicle is to be sold with a detachable chrome luggage rack and a tailored exterior cover (worth £140).
I have plenty of history on the vehicle going back to 1986, confirming that she has been well maintained with thousands spent over the last 20+ years. Evidence of major bodywork in 1987 (£3,250), and then regular attention as and when needed since (including £500 in 2006). I also have MOT certificates going back to 1995 to verify the mileage. She flew through her most recent MOT last week with absolutely no problems. The mechanic's verdict "someone has been very busy on her".
Road tax exempt and dirt cheap on classic car insurance. Come and take her for a spin, it will put a smile on any drivers face. Relocation with work forces a very reluctant sale at £5,000.
