Designed by riley for the 1948 first earls court motor show. The car was nicked named "the flying greenhouse" riley. The car is a one off. It is in its original form confirmed by riley rm club. Key original features: The twin perspex "sunroof" is the original design with roof timber shaped and positioned to mount them. Light blue riley badge, the preserve of the 2.5 litre cars not the 1.5. the front grille with only half the number of slats. Doors in aluminium not steel. Window surrounds, two of which are not made up of a single piece of metal but joined in sections and lead-loaded. Front side lights in 40's jaguar style. Wind tone horns behind the grille. It featured in adverts for valvoline oil, windsor and newton paints, and numerous other classic car magazines and adverts, all in my possession. A truly unique piece of motor history. The background of evn808 has been researched over the years. The car is in mint condition, a testament of the unique restoration. There has ben new rear springs fitted and the engine was rebuilt by the president of the riley club in 96 and has done just over 1000 miles. The driving is a pleasure, capable of keeping up with today's traffic. The vehicule has been valued at over £10.000. i am not willing to haggle over its price. You are buying a unique piece.
