| Willys-Knight 4 door tourer R.H.D. For Sale (1923) edit C66360 | | | This remarkable old car was sold brand new to the Bishop of Hobart, Tasmania. He was known as the "Motoring Bishop" as he went everywhere by car to visit his parishoners.
It has a 3 litre, four cylinder engine and sits on very large sporty wire wheels. It benefits from an older comprehensive restoration of a solid car which has matured nicely.This included replacing the upholstery, the folding roof, the sidescreens and the carpets, as well as new paintwork and a full mechanical overhaul.Engines runs smoothly and quietly with good oil pressure around 35-40 psi. It drives very well indeed, and has the quality feel of an upmarket vehicle.Being of Australian origin, it also has the advantage of R.H.D.
It passed the MOT with no problems a few weeks ago, and now has a V5c with a two letter & four number registration plate.Pressed alloy plates have been fitted. It is taxed to 31/10/09.
Too many cars and not enough space has forced me downsize my collection.
