| MGC Roadster For Sale (1969) edit C66559 | | | 1969 MGC Roadster, Snowberry White, with a Ford Type 9 5-speed gearbox and performance clutch. The 3.0 litre MGC Unit has been installed with unleaded head, (prepared by Peter Burgess Automotive Engineering), fast road camshaft and Vernier timing gear, lightened flywheel, and reground crankshaft. It is fitted with triple twin-choke Weber DCOE45 carburettors, supplied by a Red Top fuel pump, and an aluminium exhaust manifold with Maniflow single tube exhaust system, which develops a rolling Road-certified 208 BHP (results from two separate rolling road installations). The vehicle has all MG Motorsport’s usual engine, steering and suspension mods, with Spax adjustable dampers and up-rated torsion bars. The body was a meticulous bare-metal rebuild in 2003, with a blue interior and blue hood. 15-inch Minilite replica light-alloy wheels, with Yokohama 185/65 tyres complete the vehicle. The original completely-rebuilt 4-speed gearbox with competition overdrive may be included in the sale.
The car will accelerate smoothly from 25 mph in 5th gear to its top end with no carburettor “spitting”.
