| Sprite Racer For Sale (1971) edit C66624 | | | 1971 Austin Healey Sprite. Fully refurbished and ready to race. Full race 1275cc engine. Repainted. All welding done with new lower rear quarters, front hangers, lower bulkheads and lots more. Floors strengthened. 6-point roll cage. Nice and tidy historic car with excellent manners and very quick. Rebuilt and set up by ex Modified Sportscar Champion.
Engine tuftrided and balanced, powermax pistons, new twin pipercross filters and ram pipes, special distributer, Aldon head, new stainless heatshield, lots of new parts. Lumenition.
Currently built to FISC regs, but easy conversion for Historic series (FIA) or other series in the UK or Europe. Have full UK registration document with original STP great number.
Very competitive. New harness (legal until 2012). Battery box with new battery, foam filled tank, Facet pump, lots of new bits and totally ready to race. Rear shocks converted to Spax adjustables, but can be changed back to originals. Goodrich tyres with 90% tread left. New battery, new waterpump and spare top end gasket set. Would only take a few hours to get it pristine, but it is very tidy as it is.
This is not a normal mediocre racing Spridget, but a fully worked and competitive car with lots of series eligibility and potential.
The car is based in East Anglia where it is available for viewings.
