124,000 miles, fairly low for age.
Non sunroof (more structural rigidity),
Non power steering (more steering feedback),
Non catalytic converter (no power

The car is extremely fun and rewarding to drive. I have just bought a new car and unfortunately haven't got space for the GTI anymore. I'll be sad to see her leave.
1905cc 4 cylinder XU9JA-D6B series engine, 130 bhp, starts fine every time without fail.
Central locking
Half leather original phase 1 seats
Electric windows
Original Speedline 1.9 6.5J-15in alloy wheels, good condition
Sony CD player
Original undamaged parcel shelf
Standard ride height, not messed with
Car is completely standard with the single exception of an upgraded K&N 57i induction unit
I still have the original owner's handbook, owner's guide, warranty card, lighting equipment guide, dealership list, dealership map and extended warranty brochure.
The car also still has the original dealer sticker in the rear window, and original dealer's tax disc holder.
I have several old MOT's and tax discs, showing the mileage is genuine.
Replacement 1.9 GTI gearbox, brand new clutch, speedometer cable and brake pads all professionally fitted by 205 specialists in July 2008.
Oil and filter changed less than 1000 miles ago.
Taxed until January 2009

Bad points:
Slight tick (only noticeable under acceleration) due to exhaust manifold gasket blowing slightly on one cylinder. The manifold itself is fine, the blowing is due to a broken stud bolting the manifold to the head. This could be repaired easily by replacing the stud and gasket. The engine still pulls well and smoothly through the rev range.
Heater blower not working, this is probably due to a fuse.
Front fog lights work fine but are cosmetically tatty. Can be replaced for £45 a pair.
Small crack in front valance (visible in photos) from where the valance clipped the edge of an inspection ramp as it was reversed off.
The car would make a great classic with a little bit of TLC. Unfortunately I don't have the garage space, or enough time due to work commitments.
I'd love to see the car go to a fellow enthusiast who'll give it the care it deserves.
