In 1975 with 18000 miles having been covered this car was taken off the road and comprehensively rebuilt over a 20year period.
Returning to the road in 1995 with a rebuilt gearbox and differential. A rebuilt engine that was lightened, balanced and polished. A new big valve cylinder head was fitted replacing the original and sometimes troublesome stromberg carbs with dellorto's.
The panel fit on this example is superb,a replacement Lotus chassis was fitted and the car resprayed.
The car still sports period Dunlop SP Sport tyres.
There is a comprehensive history file.
The car has is original leatherbound SE spec Colin Chapman signature steering wheel along with the correct H gearknob. It has benefitted from a recent new dashboard correctly finished in teak.
The car has completed 12,000 miles since its rebuild.
