| Austin Metro City X Low Mileage 998cc SOLD (1984) C67565 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | Mileage is 23,000 miles from new, and the bodywork backs this up, it's in great condition. The engine runs perfectly and without any complaints and always starts first time even after a couple weeks without use. I've owned the car for 7 months now and I've done 5,000 miles in it and changed the oil/filter twice. I'd been using it to go to work everyday. It has Tax until January and MOT'd until June 2009. For the latest MOT it needed a new rubber exhaust mount and to very small bits of welding in the floorpan (may be able to see in picture the area of grey primer).
Unfortunately I've noticed a whine in 4th gear, I used it for 2 weeks since it started and it hasn't got worse but I've been told it's the main bearing in the gearbox. I will happily take anyone out for a test drive in it, and I certainly recommend a viewing of the car. It currently has the carpet and original steering wheel out of it, but both will be included in the sale.
I don't have the time/space to fix it anymore but wish I did as it's a cracking car to drive. If you have any questions about the car please ask.
