| Volvo 123 GT Amazon For Sale (1968) edit C68715 | | | Superb example of this desirable and sought after model as only 1500 were manufactured between 1967 and 1968. They came in green, red, blue and white and in my view red is the colour to have setting off the lines of this sporting 2 door.
Featuring black vinyl seats orthopaedically designed with full adjustment for rake and head restraints. Inertia reel seat belts fitted to front though original static belts are supplied with the car.
This is a standard 123Gt with the original B18 1780 cc engine and genuine 82,863 miles. Twin su carbs, stainless exhaust together with overdrive provides a spirited and involving drive. Orginal steel rims, though minilites are available separately.
Bodily and mechanically this is an excellent car. Anything required has been done. There is no corrosion, previously rear arches were replaced together with nearside rear sill and a quality repaint. Chrome is good - a little pitting and rust to the edge of the front nearside section but is really quite acceptable or easily replaced or rechromed.
A very robust and reliable example with in built safety features (it is a Volvo after all) and surpisingly good handling, reflected in their rallying heritage.
This has not been rallied but would be eminently suitable -or use as a daily driver - or simply reserved for shows, where this one has been much admired.
This is a sad sale which will make someone very proud.
