| Morgan +4 NOW UNDER OFFER SOLD (1954) C69002 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | There is an extensive history file with the car and a tremendous number of new and reconditioned parts. There are: A New aluminium panelled ashframe from the factory. 2 new front wings from the factory from a time when the wings were made stronger than the later ones. 2 new inner front valances. Reconditioned bulkhead and a new one, 2 original rear wings and bonnet leaves. Front cowl is original and there is also a new one. All bodywork has been trial fitted on the chassis. The ashframework has been well cuprinolled. All fittings used to date are stainless such as screws and nuts and bolts.
On the mechanical side there is: A new chassis and professionally fitted and jigged crossframe, reconditioned rear axle, new brake cylinders and master cylinder. A good moss box, propshaft with good universal joints. A reconditioned steering box new ball joints etc. The rear suspension has been upgraded to a panhard rod and koni shock absorbers. The front suspension has new kingpins and bushes, springs and koni shock absorbers. A new master cylinder and new wheel cylinders are fitted. Prior to coming off the road the car had been equipped with a reconditioned tr2 engine but this is unckecked other than testing that it turns over and valves are all free. There are no oil leaks.
The wooden dash has been reconditioned but the gauges remain to be checked and re-fitted.
The majority of the wiring loom has been replaced. The car has the original airbag seats and are still holding air. The rear squab seat is present but needs a small repair. The hood and hoodframe are present with the hood being suitable for a pattern. All bright work has been re-chromed including the windscreen and pillars.
This is a potentional concours winning car with all the hard work having been done.
