Delivered on April 12, 1929 to Thomas F. Scholl, it was the fourth Ascot built and the second to be sold to a private owner. Scholl was founder and owner of T.F. Scholl and Co., a brokerage firm located at 37 Wall Street. He was a member of the New York Stock Exchange for 15 years and had homes on Park Avenue and Huntington, Long Island.
