Monomille GT Ducktail by Sibona & Bassano
This was first owned by Al Cosentino of FAZA Abarth and it is pictured in front of his house in "ABARTH King of Small Cars" (pages 86 & 87). It is thought that only 4 examples in this configuration (open headlights and ducktail rear) were built making this car extremely rare.
It was raced extensively for several years and I was told that it has possible Sebring and Daytona history. In the early 1970's, after it was no longer competitive, it was put into dry storage in an apple barn in upstate New York. I discovered it last year after its 30+ years in hibernation (photo of actual barn shown below).
Features include: front radiator and disc brakes, plexiglass windows, original fuel tank which wraps around the spare tire. Car still has amazingly solid original floors, but the alloy body is rough and has numerous battle scars from racing. Needs a complete restoration. Quite a few spares go with this car, including disassembled engines, gearbox, etc. I have an Abarth 1000 OT engine available separately.
This will be a beautiful and valuable Abarth when restored. Serious offers considered.
