| Mk1 Mexico Cosworth For Sale (1972) edit C69751 | | | The ultimate mk1 escort, this car is stunning and has all been built to the highest standard. This car is a real mexico avo with body plate and avo plate, proper type 49 shell and tax exempt.
the shell is type 49, croup 4 spec, has been fitted with steel bubble arches (no fibreglass), turreted, seam welded, full bare metal respray inside and out to very high standard (paint job £3000).
new 6 point bolt in roll cage, big gearbox tunnel, big diff tunnel etc. Modified front panel, world cup cross member. Full braided brake lines, anti dive kit etc.
cobra racing seats with 4 point sabelt harnesses, fire extinguisher, 6 dial dash, battery cut off switch, boost guage, navigators foot rest, alloy centre consul etc.
the car is sitting on brand new genuine 15 x 8" minilites on the back and brand new 15 x 7 genuine minilites on the front, all fitted with brand new falken tyres, 225 50 15 on the rear and 205 50 15 on the front.
full height adjustable coil over suspension all round with brand new wilwood calipers and new competition pads on the front, rear calipers with new pads on the back, discs all round. The car is also fully polybushed, has hydraulic handbrake, bias pedal box etc.
the atlas axle alone on this car cost £2000 and is 500bhp rated with lsd and heavy duty half shafts etc. All fully reconditioned and 5 linked.
in the boot is a prefab alloy fuel tank sitting on welded in stage, tank also has a sump on it and a splash tray. Also battery.

the engine is fully rebuilt by gt tuning, the engine builder at burton power products and cost £3500 just for rebuild (receipts to prove)
