I bought this car back in February and I am a RTOC member and Renault 5 enthusiast. I am a girl and drive it very caefully as it's my pride and joy! This is a VERY reluctant sale but I need something that me and my boyfriend can drive every day. It has been serviced twice since February with new oil sparkplugs etc.
The car is HPI clear and the registration number can be provided upon request.
Standard engine just set up properly at GT Tuning at around 10psi (0.75 bar)so probably running a little more power than standard, safely:
*All stray and weak pipes, electrical wires etc sorted out and replaced
*Tappets/valve clearance set up properly
*Fueling/idle etc set up correctly
Engine etc:
*Head gasket just replaced using uprated gasket and bolts - new reconditioned, tested,chemically stripped and cleaned head from CGBMotorsport
*New reonditioned push-rods
*Some Samco piping
*Bailey dump valve
*Forge actuator
*New fuel pressure regulator
*New renix/AEI unit
*New fuel sender unit
*New starting motor
*Low temp fan switch (not yet fitted but will be supplied with the car) - current fan switch works perfectly as it was replaced
*Starts well
*Choke works properly
*Magnecor 90degree HT leads
*NGK Platinum sparkplugs
*Straight through stainless exhaust
Interior:
*Standard and in good condition for age - clean standard red carpet
*Stainless steel guage pods
*Stainless steel heater surrounds
*Stainless steel door plates
Exterior:
*GT Tuning open grille and mesh
*GT Tuning spoiler
*Full re-spray in candy red
*Stunning body work in perfect condition - no scratches, dents or dings anywhere apart from a small chip on the grille which cannot really be noticed
*Black 5 spoke wheels with good tyres
*Lowered all round
*Rear privacy glass
Bad points:
*No parcel shelf
*Chip on front grille
*Rip on the top of the back seat
*No door pockets
*Clock removed
*Speedo can be a bit temperamental - this is also a very common problem
