| Mercedes 230CE pillarless coupe -Genuine 42k miles SOLD (1982) C70251 | | | Not for sale - it has been sold via a Car and Classic Free Ad | | Genuine and original 1982 X registered Mercedes 230CE Auto in Met Green with genuine 42,000 miles from new. This car was purchased by my father in 1995 off a family friend with only 16,000 miles on, it was then used by my father up until 1998 but due to ill health was then placed in dry storage until June 2006.
I then had the car re-commissioned and MOT'd (it needed a brake light bulb and fuel pump!) so that I could remove my father's private reg. The car was then stored in my garage until April this year when I had
it re-mot'd. It has just had a new exhaust downpipe,two new tyres,new fuel sender, fuel tank flush and full service + valet. This car is completely rust free, all body panels are original.
This car really needs to be seen to be appreciated, it even still has the original complete first aid kit, warning triangle etc. Electric sunroof works perfectly, single electric mirror, original Clarion stereo all present and correct!
The windows are manual and all work, as does the central locking. It does have an after market immobiliser fitted with both immobiliser fobs present (and the 3 original Mercedes keys). (2 master keys & 1 slave).
I have the original service book pack , receipts and previous MOT's detailing service history and veryfying the mileage. I will also pay for a HPI report for prospective buyer. The car is of course completely HPI clear.
The log book shows 3 former keepers, the first was my Father's friend, the second is Father's business, the third is my father (he changed it over when he retired and closed the business in 1998) and the current one is myself from when I took over ownership in July 2006.
It drives absolutely perfectly, auto box is spot on kicking down and changing up perfectly when requested, brakes are perfect, there is no blue smoke, rattles or squeaks.
MOT'd until April 2009 and taxed until end of the year. I welcome any mechanical inspection.
This is a genuine family owned car which we will be very sad to see go but unfortunately impending house moves and young family forces very reluctant sale. I may consider a p/x, preferably VW / Audi / Seat / Skoda.
