ROYAL ENFIELD 350cc, "1962 Redditch Original" SOLD

“Redditch original 350 Enfield Lightly restored”
Not concourse but shiny side of oily rag condition, with many new parts fitted, including forks, mudguards, seat, centre and side stand, clutch, front brake, spokes, rims etc.
It’s not getting any younger, just steadily appreciating and spares available worldwide.
This is an original six volt coil ignition model, fitted with a 1&1/ 8; Amal concentric carb. The wiring is in good condition with English connectors and the ignition switch has been replaced and comes with two proper keys. Many of the nuts are stainless steel as is the rear brake rod. It has a "Thunderbird" twin leading shoe front brake which is new and needs bedding in, (the original single leading shoe brake wheel will be included in the sale if the buyer desires to go back to originality, as are a few other spares). It is fitted out with original controls and also the Royal Enfield neutral finder is fully functional. It is in a decent state of repair and MOT'd up to March 16.
The motorcycle has been fully serviced including a de-coke and new top end (head) gasket fitted. Reynolds chain, full clutch rebuild. The exhaust system has age related marks but polishes up and sounds just like a sixties single should. The true mileage is unknown, due to a replacement (Smiths) chronometric speedometer. Starts easy and has plenty of grunt. Pulls effortlessly from 20mph in top. It is a nice no fuss classic machine that turns heads as you ride through villages. You will however find yourself with an inane grin on your face as you blast down the road passing tractors. I will be sorry to see her go but Im after a Sunbeam S8 and need the space.
If you know of a good oil rag Sunbeam Please let me Know. Cheers & Thanks.
